About the role:

Bramley Oak Academy is a thriving special school in Surrey providing education for boys aged 5-11 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and experienced team. Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people?  At Bramley Oak Academy you would be working within a specialist setting that values both challenge and support.

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Support pupils' emotional regulation and engagement across the school day.
  • Help develop pupils' social and personal skills.
  • Support learning in English and Mathematics.
  • Contribute to a calm, purposeful and supporting learning environment.

The candidate:

  • Do you have a desire to work with some of the most complex young people in our community?
  • Are you a strong communicator and able to build relationships?
  • Do you have high levels of resilience and a calm, positive approach?
  • You must have sufficient command of spoken English, as defined under the Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers.

Hours: 33 hours per week, Monday to Friday - Term time only.
