London South East Academies Trust is seeking a passionate and ambitious Assistant Headteacher to play a key leadership role in shaping the future of East Sussex Academy – our Alternative Provision school in Hastings. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a newly integrated school at the forefront of regional educational transformation.

As a pivotal member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will lead on Teaching and Learning, championing high-quality pedagogy and inclusive practice to ensure that every pupil can access, engage with and succeed in education.

About the Role:

  • Lead on teaching, learning and curriculum innovation across the provision.

  • Support whole-school strategy, attendance, SEN provision and behaviour management.

  • Be part of a team delivering systemic change across Alternative Provision in East Sussex.

  • Deputise for the Deputy Headteacher and support in school operations and staff development.

  • Work collaboratively with the Trust and local partners to enhance support for vulnerable learners.
