About the role:

Heron Academy is seeking a dynamic and organised Whole School Visual Communication and SENCo Assistant to join our committed and inclusive team. This unique role combines support for our Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision with responsibility for visual communications across the school.

You will work closely with the SENCo, Deputy Headteacher, Headteacher, and external partners to ensure effective support for pupils with SEN and contribute to the school’s communications and branding. 

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in SEN support or administration (school-based experience is an advantage).

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Can manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Is confident using digital tools, website CMS, and design software.

  • Shows initiative, creativity, and a collaborative approach to work.
