About the role:

SEN Teaching Assistant

Term-time only, 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Permanent Contract


We are seeking to fill the following post asap to complete our staff team.

If this is you, we’d love you to come and join our team at Heron Academy, in Lambeth (part of the London South East Academies Trust), a secondary school for pupils with complex learning and medical needs.

As a Teaching Assistant you will enjoy a varied role, supporting pupils’ learning inside and outside the classroom, working alongside the Class Teacher and other TA colleagues to ensure that children are supervised safely and engaging in a range of activities. You will also support pupils with their personal care and accompany them in the water during swimming lessons.

Applicants must have numeracy and literacy qualifications at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and a TA qualification or equivalent qualification or experience, e.g. NNEB/NVQ Level 2
